How to Reset Epson L1800 Printers Service Required - During printing, Ink is not only for printing but also for other printer operations like cleaning(head cleaning, pattern cleaning…), a certain amount of ink is wasted and it is collected by the waste ink pad. Therefore, the printer counts the amount of waste ink.

Once the amount of waste ink reaches the predefined limit, the printer indicates “Service Required” and the waste ink pad should be replaced or reset waste ink counter value stored in EEPROM on the Mainboard (or Logic Board) of the printer by Epson L1800 Adjustment Program.

  • Download Epson Adjustment Program from link below
  • After downloaded extract the file and open AdjProg.exe then select Particular adjustment mode

  • On the Particular adjustment mode select Wast ink counter

  • Checklist Main pad counter then click Check, a popup will appear just press OK button.
  • The next step checklist Main pad counter once again then click Initialize button, a popup will appear asking you to turn off the printer by pressing the Power button on the printer then press OK.
